Cardston Agricultural Day

  • Cardston Agridome 12 Street West Cardston, AB, T0K 0K0 Canada (map)

Overview

Our goals is to provide our community and surrounding areas a chance to learn hands on the importance of our Farming and Ranching Heritages. We are striving to foster a learning environment for everyone of all ages. A day that can bring our urban and rural neighbours together for a fun day of learning and a chance to experience something new.

Goals

Food Awareness:

To foster a deeper understanding of where food originates—not merely from grocery stores, but from the dedicated efforts of farmers and ranchers. This includes highlighting the vital role that farming and ranching play in sustaining and strengthening our community.

Farm Safety:

To emphasize the importance of safety practices in agricultural settings, and to promote awareness of how to remain safe while working on farms and ranches.

Ranching and Farming Heritage:

To celebrate and showcase the rich heritage of farming and ranching, and to recognize the lasting impact these traditions have had on our community.

Evaluation of Agriculture in Southern Alberta:

To examine the development of agriculture in Southern Alberta, and to understand how our community has contributed to its growth and evolution
